Andrew graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a degree in Global Economic Studies with a focus on Latin American Studies. Growing up in Deep River, North Carolina, he developed a passion for helping others that led him to the Carolina College Advising Corps, where he worked in two high schools nestled in the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains.
Inspired by his time working with students, Andrew pursued his Juris Doctor at UNC School of Law and a Master of Public Policy from Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy. His unique blend of expertise in education policy and administration allows him to effectively bridge the worlds of law, public policy, and education.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys exploring the great outdoors, whether it’s hiking the local trails, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or going for a run. He lives with his wife, Samantha, and their cat, Clementine, in Sanford, North Carolina.
